Ford and DJI have partnered up to hold a contest in which applicants are asked to come up with the best drone that launches from the bed of a Ford F-150 Truck. Ford & DJI are hoping to use this application during emergency response situations.

The contest is DJI's 2016 developer challenge, only this time the world leader in drone technology has partnered with Ford. The contest was announced at the 2016 CES in Las Vegas, NV. 

The winner of the Ford & DJI Drone Contest will be awarded $100,000.

​The Axis VIDIUS is the world's smallest FPV quadcopter drone that features a 480p definition camera. The Axis VIDIUS is capable of flying 100 feet away, and can perform a 360 degree roll. Included is a 2.4 GHz controller, and the drone can be controlled via your smartphone or tablet. Drone flight time on one battery charge is 5-7 minutes, and the charging time for the battery takes only 20 minutes. The drone is also extremely small, and does not require FAA drone registration.
